Wabasha County Board approves preliminary levy 6% higher than last year

Wabasha County Commissioners on Sept. 15 approved a proposed 2027 property tax levy at $19,778,316, an increase of $1,119,528 (6 percent) over the 2026 adopted levy.

The amount does not include the Housing and Redevelopment Authority.

A Truth in Taxation meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1 in the County Board room in Wabasha.

County Administrator Michael Plante said the 6 percent increase is among the lowest he has seen in southeast Minnesota.
