Wabasha County Board Meets at Noisy Fair

The Wabasha County Board of Commissioners held their July 16 meeting in the ski chalet at the county fair grounds on Thursday, July 16, as the fair was just getting underway.
The meeting was brief, but the board conducted some business, particularly the appointment of Penny Schmit to fill the remainder of the assessor’s term which had been vacant due to the retirement of Assessor Loren Benz at the end of June.
