Wabasha County levy to increase 4%

The Wabasha County Board of Commissioners has adopted the final 2017 property tax levy at $14,072,898, a 4 percent increase over 2016. The amount of the increase is $541,265.
All commissioners were present for the last meeting of 2016 on Dec. 27, along with County Administrator Michael Plante and County Attorney Karrie Kelly.
The majority of the business items pertained to county finances which were adopted with little or no further discussion.
