The Wabasha County Board voted unanimously March 28 to notify the state that the county does not wish to enforce the agricultural buffer provisions.
All commissioners were present for the regular board meeting, along with Plante and County Attorney Karrie Kelly.
The county wants to defer the enforcement of the buffer requirements for areas adjacent to certain bodies of water in the state to the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil and Resources (BWSR).
