Wabasha County plow driver receives Live Saving Award

Longtime County Highway Department employee Dave Ward was presented with the Life Saving Award by Sheriff Rodney Bartsh at the Jan. 16 meeting of the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners.

All commissioners were present, along with County Administrator Michael Plante. There were also a number of people at the meeting who had come for the presentation.

In his opening remarks, Bartsh noted that “We have great employees in the county, but this lifesaving effort went over and above what employees are generally called upon to do.”
