Waste plan could end Goodhue County landfill worries

Goodhue County Public Works Director Greg Isakson explained at the Aug. 16 board meeting that he has been working with Pollution Control staff to move the county’s solid waste plan forward.
He said the Pollution Control Agency (PCA) had reviewed the solid waste plan that Goodhue County sent to them in May. Isakson and PCA staff have worked together to develop a new appendix for the plan. He said the next step is to ask the board to pass a resolution to take the plan they submitted to the PCA in May and change the date, the cover, the table of contents and add appendix F.
