Weekend filled with holiday fun
Several local businesses and community organizations will hold holiday events this weekend as people gear up for Christmas.
Events will be going on not only in Lake City but in communities around Lake Pepin as they celebrate 100 miles of Christmas, coordinated locally by the Chamber of Commerce Retail Committee.
Santa Claus will make an appearance at 5 p.m. Saturday at the lot on Lakeshore Drive and Center Street, which has been decorated by the committee.
People will get pictures with Santa and the cutout figures in the display and will sing Christmas carols.
