Who has the right of way at uncontrolled intersections?

Lake City City Administrator Rob Keehn told the Lake City City Council Monday that he’s heard some myths about who has the right-of-way when vehicles encounter one-another at an uncontrolled intersection.

In most cases, the vehicle that arrives at the intersection first has the right-of-way, he said.

According to state statute, if two or more vehicles arrive at an uncontrolled intersection at roughly the same time, the vehicle on the right has the right-of-way.
