Clean-up day nixed

COVID-19 has canceled another popular local event, the City of Lake City’s annual spring clean-up day.
The semi-annual event allows residents to dispose of certain large items at no cost and others for a fee.
This year’s spring clean-up day was supposed to be April 25, but no more thanks to restrictions on the number of people who can gather during the pandemic, according to City Clerk Kari Schreck.
The city hasn’t scheduled a date yet for the fall clean-up event, Schreck said.
