Lake City Tourism Bureau, Inc. is a non-profit corporation operated by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our Mission is to “improve and enhance the Lake City economy by attracting tourism and promoting tourism based businesses and activities.” Funding for our efforts is provided by a 3 percent “lodging tax” that is imposed on tourists renting rooms and houses for short term stays within the city. State statutes require that the proceeds from lodging taxes must be spent on efforts to lure potential visitors to our destination.
