Elder network still working to support care givers and clients

What do you do when you are a nonprofit that seeks to look out and care for the most vulnerable of our population during a pandemic?

Well, let me tell you. We still care about our clients and care givers. Many people are struggling with isolation and depression on top of what was already a difficult health situation or burden caring for loved ones.

If you need a sounding board, someone to help you walk through something or someone to help balance your spiraling thoughts, please give us a call.

We have licensed social workers and staff that can give sound advice, a listening ear and/or help you make connections to bring you back into balance or help you resolve an issue you may have. We are still providing care giver coaching and we have resumed care giver support over Zoom every other week. Our next support meeting is Monday, June 1, at 9:30 a.m. Please email us if you’d like the link.

We spend a lot of our time calling clients to check on them and their wellbeing. Those are a cherished part of our weeks. In some ways, it has brought us closer than ever. We learn more about those we serve and our volunteers and are forming more of a bond to carry us further in the future.

But then, there is that “other” piece. We know that there are a lot of people who need our help and we haven’t yet discovered each other. We would love to talk to you. If there are loved ones that need a helping hand or a call or someone to help them navigate through problems, don’t hesitate to pick up your phone and call 651-565-0351 or send us an email today at bonnies@elder-network.org.
