12 compete at ‘Grand Sand’ volleyball tourney
Grand Sand held it’s second annual doubles sand volleyball tournament on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Peter’s Park in Lake City. The tournament was organized by Jessica Brunn to offer competitive sand volleyball opportunities for local youth.
Twelve girls, ranging in age from 13 to 17, came together from Lake City, Red Wing, and Goodhue to participate in the tournament. Teams began with round-robin style pool play, were seeded, and then worked their way through championship brackets. All players worked hard and competed from early morning into the afternoon.
