34-member Tiger trap team takes aim
Standing outdoors on an early windy, rainy and cold Saturday morning isn’t the way most people would choose to start their weekend, but for the 34 members of the Lake City Tiger Trap Team, that was the way their season started. And the weather didn’t bother them at all.
As the season reached the third week, the team found itself in second place with six of its individual members firmly in the top 20 shooters in their six school conference.
Trap shooting is a huge sport in Minnesota, with nearly 7,900 students from grades nine through twelve making up 337 teams statewide.
