Another strong second half lifts Tiger boys over Bombers

The ninth-ranked Lake City High School boys basketball team won its eighth straight game to open the season on Dec. 15 at Lincoln High School as the Tigers pulled away in the second half for a 51-35 victory over Cannon Falls. Jesse Oliver’s first basket of the contest in the early stages of the second half ignited a game-deciding 20-4 run by Lake City over a 9:42 span as the Tigers led just 22-20 at halftime.
