Balow competes for Gophers
Will Balow made his Division 1 debut with the Minnesota Golden Gophers Sunday, Jan. 24. Although Will lost, the Gophers defeated Purdue by a score of 23-18. Balow is a red-shirt freshman wrestling in the 184 pound weight class. As a Lake City Tiger the 2014 grad was a state qualifier as a freshman, placed fifth as a sophomore, won the state championship as a junior and missed his senior year after suffering a knee injury during the football season.
