Berge, Matzke compete in Warrior Cup at Northfield
Two Lake City golfers, Emma Berge and Ella Matzke, competed in the Warrior Cup, age 13-15 division held at Northfield Golf Course on Aug. 10.
Berge fired an 87, for an 11th place finish, while Matzke carded a 92 to place 23rd in a field of 39 players.
“It was a great experience for the girls on a difficult golf course that neither had ever played before. Emma really got it going on the back nine shooting 38 which included two birdies, four pars, two bogeys, and one double bogey,” commented Lake City Coach Steve Randgaard.
