Big plays again cost Tiger football a close game
Wed, 09/16/2026 - 11:52am
For the second consecutive week, the Lake City Tigers football team controlled the clock but they were unable to shut down big scoring plays by their opposition. The Tigers held a 35:25 to 15:10 advantage in time of possession, but the La Crescent-Hokah (LC-H) Lancers scored twice on plays of 80-plus yards and came away with a 22-19 victory Friday night in La Crescent.
LC-H scored the only first quarter points on a Maverick Moor 12-yard run at 4:09. Ethan Kline caught a pass from Moor for the two-point conversion to put the Lancers on top 8-0.
