Bowlers split wins at Wabasha meet
Last weekend the Tigers bowling team traveled to Riverboat Lanes in Wabasha. The varsity went 1-1 on the day, losing 4-1 to Winona and then beating Pine Island 3-2.
Against Winona, they lost three games by 15 pins or less. Sam Smith led the team at 91 percent, followed by Gage Knutson at 75 percent in fill percentage.
Against Pine Island, they had their best five game set of the season averaging 195. The whole team was over 70 percent in total fill percentage, led by Sam Smith, Resa Laqua, Conner Ferguson, Dane Houghton and Evan O’Flaherty at 80 percent or higher.
