Boys basketball opens Rotary Classic with win over powerhouse Mayo

Reid Gastner and Nathan Heise combined to score 62 points as Lake City handed Rochester Mayo its first loss of the season 90-78 last Friday night at the Mayo Civic Center Auditorium. The Tigers shot a blistering 68 percent from the field in the opening 18 minutes, including eight of 14 from beyond the arc as Lake City led 51-30 at halftime.
