Boys golf team opens season with win over Byron
The Lake City boys varsity golf team began their 2025 season on a high note, earning a 315–333 victory over Byron Public Schools in a dual meet held at Lake City Golf Course on April 15. Despite challenging, windy conditions, the Tigers delivered a well-rounded team performance.
Leading the way was eighth grader Lane Grobe, who recorded a career-best score of 76 to take medalist honors. Starting on hole 8, Grobe opened with a birdie and continued his impressive play with additional birdies on holes 11, 15, 17, and 5.
