Boys golf wins HVL meet; finish 2nd at Stillwater
The Tigers opened their Hiawatha Valley League (HVL) Conference season last Thursday by shooting a score of 291 at the Pine Island Golf Club. This score is a new school record for any Lake City team at an away meet.
The second place team was Rochester Lourdes with a 311.
The next HVL match is May 17, at Willow Creek in Rochester.
Lake City scores were Brennan Rothgarn 68 (medalist), Thomas Huettl 73, Carter Gnotke 74, Parker Schurhammer 76, Riley Fritz 82, Tanner Frank 85, and Brady Schurhammer 86.
