Boys open with a flourish

The Lake City boys basketball team kicked off one of the most anticipated playoff runs in quite some time on the right foot with a 73-45 blowout victory over Chatfield in the Section 1AA opening round on Thursday night at Lincoln High School.  
The Tigers led from start to finish and were paced by 22 points from Brady Kuchinka and also received a career-high 18-point night from Mitch Marien. Lake City broke away from an eight-point halftime lead by making an incredible 12 consecutive field goals to open the second half of play and 19 of 20 shots overall (including free throws).
