Boys tennis suffers defeat to Holy Angels
Following their first round win over Red Wing, the Lake City Tigers boys tennis team was matched up against Academy of Holy Angels last Thursday and lost 5-2.
Mitchel Medvec continued his winning ways at No. 1 singles and stroked out a 6-1, 6-1 win over Jack Wold.
Alex Holmgren was defeated 6-1, 6-0 by Jack Preschel at No. 2 singles.
Ryan Heise won a very tight match at No. 3 singles, 7-6 (5), 7-5, over Josh Werle.
At No. 4 singles Joey Nafe lost 6-0, 6-2 to Frederick Diehl.
Academy of Holy Angels swept the doubles bracket over the Tigers.
