Boys win border battle, end Warriors 40-game win streak
Reid Gastner scored a career-high 27 points to power Lake City past previously unbeaten Clear Lake (Wis.) 73-54 Saturday afternoon at the 14th annual Minnesota vs. Wisconsin Border Battle at East Ridge High School. Nathan Heise added 23 points for the Tigers, who led by as many as 29 points in the second half. The surprisingly lopsided victory for Lake City ended a remarkable 40-game regular season winning streak by the Warriors, which had spanned three seasons.
