Brand scores winning goal in tournament final

Thomas Brand of Lake City scored the winning goal for the Minnesota Rush Premier Soccer boys U16 team in the Iowa Rush Spring Cup championship game in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 10.
On Saturday, April 9, they tied the South Dakota Revolution 0-0 and beat Twin Cities Rush 5-0.
In Sunday’s championship round they faced South Dakota United again, winnin 2-1.
A striker, Brand scored the winning goal late in the second half.
