Dance legacy spans generations
In the 2000s Jennifer Tepley and Shannon Heise coached the Lake City High School dance team.
Now one of their dancers, Ashley Harkins, is the team’s head coach, and both of the former coaches have daughters on the team.
Heise’s daughter Liberty Heise and Tepley’s daughter Sophia Mahn are both seniors on this year’s team. Sophia’s older sister, Madeleine Mahn, is an assistant coach.
For the former coaches, its gratifying to see one of their dancers continuing to build the program.
