Fishing tourney fundraiser for youth team is Saturday
The Lake City Youth Fishing Team is planning two fundraisers this month.
The first is a youth and adult ice fishing tournament in the Lake City Marina on March 14.
The contest runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the outer marina across Lakeshore Drive from Fiesta Foods. Children 10 and under can fish for free. The entry fee is $5 for adults.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the anglers who catch the longest bluegill, perch, crappie, and bass. If the ice conditions are not suitable, fishing will occur from the docks.
