Football: Lake City beats Pine Island 14-12
Lake City notched its first win of the season Friday night with a 14-12 victory over Pine Island. The Tigers scored all 14 points in the first quarter and then relied on some timely defensive stops down the stretch to seal the victory.
Lake City opened the game by marching on an 11-play, 65-yard touchdown drive that culminated in an 11-yard pass from Jaden Shones to Keegan Ryan. Sophomore Ethan Brunkow booted the extra point to put the Tigers in front 7-0 with 5:49 left in the first quarter.
