The Lake City High School football team defeated Red Wing 49-39 in the regular season finale last Wednesday night as the Tigers held on in a wild second half that saw the two teams combine for 57 points and 532 yards of total offense.
The Tigers dominated play in the first half and set the tone on the first drive of the game, marching 70 yards in just five plays to take the lead on a 45-yard touchdown run by quarterback Colter Hegge. Ethen Brunkow’s extra point put Lake City in front 7-0 just three minutes into the game.
