Football: Tigers defeat Lancers in section quarterfinal

Lake City scored 35 unanswered points and rolled to a 35-13 victory over La Crescent-Hokah in the section 1AAA quarterfinals last Tuesday night.

The game did not open on the right foot for the Tigers as the Lancers returned the opening kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown and led 7-0 just 15 seconds into the postseason.

Lake City answered quickly, moving 72 yards in just four plays as Asher Bee scored on a 29-yard touchdown run. Ethen Brunkow tied the score at seven with the extra point with 9:42 to play in the first quarter.
