Matt Winkle accounted for four first quarter touchdowns as Kasson-Mantorville led 28-6 after 12 minutes and never looked back in a 42-18 victory over Lake City in the regular season finale for both teams last Wednesday night in Kasson.
After the Tigers went three and out to open the game, the KoMets went 48 yards in five plays to get on the scoreboard first. Winkle’s quarterback keeper from six yards out and Max Kundert’s extra point gave the KoMets a 7-0 lead 2:36 into the ball game.
