Football: Tigers fall to St. Charles in season opener

Chris Hilton scored a 47-yard touchdown on a reverse with 2:53 left to help Saint Charles seal a 21-12 victory over Lake City in the 2023 season opener Friday night. It was a game of missed opportunities for the Tigers who were unable to score twice inside the Saints 10-yard line.

Saint Charles grabbed an early 7-0 lead on a two-yard touchdown run by quarterback Owen Maloney. The Saints had started with excellent field position on the Tigers 45-yard line after a big kick return on the opening play of the game.
