Football Tigers lose another offensive slug-fest

Derrick Cannon Jr. returned a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown with 5:21 remaining to help Plainview-Elgin-Millville pull away down the stretch for a 42-26 victory on Friday night to spoil homecoming in Lake City. The Tigers had scored a touchdown on a six-yard pass from Marc Kjos to Mitch Marien with 5:35 to play, but failed to tie the game as a two-point conversion pass attempt fell incomplete.
