Football: Tigers remain unbeaten with victory over Pine Island

Second-ranked Lake City remained undefeated Friday as the Tigers picked up a 27-14 road victory at Pine Island in a game that was delayed 53 minutes in the first half due to lightning.

Just before kickoff a heavy rain shower moved through the area as the entire opening period was played in a steady rain. The first adverse weather of the season didn’t seem to faze the Tigers as they outgained the Panthers 70-5 in the first 12 minutes.
