Frank brings home gold from East Ridge
The Lake City wrestling team had a respectable showing Saturday at the East Ridge Ruckus individual tournament, finishing eighth out of 17 teams and placing five individuals in the top six at their weights.
Junior Tanner Frank, the third seed, won the championship at 113 after pinning his first opponent, then beating the first and second seeds by decision to win the gold medal.
“Tanner had a rock solid day,” said Coach Doug Vaith. “He was focused and dialed in, and he didn’t take a second off the whole day.”
