Girls 2nd; boys 4th at rainy Austin CC meet
The Lake City Tiger cross country ended their regular season in a downpour in Austin Oct. 10. Due to the driving rain, the whole meet was combined into one 300 runner race over 5K.
The cross country team came away with a second in the girls’ varsity race to number one ranked Stewartville, but ahead of three AA schools and three other Class A schools.
The girls’ junior varsity (JV) continued their undefeated string with seven girls in the top eight.
The boys’ varsity finished fourth out of nine teams and the JV matched their fourth place finish.
