Girls basketball season ends in Section quarterfinals

On Tuesday the Lake City Tiger girls basketball team traveled to the Mayo Civic Center, where they were defeated 72-61 in the Section quarterfinal matchup with No. 3 seeded Caledonia.

Lake City, the No. 6 seed, got off to a good start on both ends of the floor. This effort allowed the Tigers to stay in reach of Caledonia with 5 minutes to play in the first half.

Caledonia then went on a run and the Tigers went cold from the field. Lake City found themselves down 16 points at the end of the first half.
