Girls basketball suffers round 1 loss to Irish

The Lake City Tigers girls’ basketball team played in the Rotary Classic this weekend. On Dec. 27 they traveled to Rochester Civic Arena to take on the Rosemount. They were defeated 71-51.
Mahli Benjamin made her first varsity start filling in for a sick Grace Bany. The Tigers came out and scored first from a drive to the basket by Lilly Meincke. She was fouled and went to the line for two shots, making both.
