Girls compete at section individual tennis tournament
On Monday, Oct. 13, the individuals for the Lake City girl’s tennis team were back in action for their second round. This was a rare day where all six individuals advanced to the second round of the tournament.
The No. 1 ranked doubles team of Thérèse Bauer and Rylee Thieren won their opening match of day versus United South Central 7-6 (5)/6-1. The other doubles team of Emily Mehrkens and Mary Kate Bauer faced a familiar foe from Cannon Falls. In a rematch from the previous week the lady Tigers fell in 3 sets, 7-5/6-7(4)/2-6.
