Girls downed 62-35 in Hayfield to end regular season

The Lake City High School girls basketball team was overpowered in the final game of the regular season Feb. 19, losing on the road to Hayfield 35-62.

“This was a tough game for us,” Lake City Coach Drew Olinger said. “Hayfield came out with a lot of firepower and their defense was sensational. They forced us into making 12 first half turnovers and they controlled the pace of the game from the start.”
