Girls fall to Goodhue in HVL title game
For the first time in 25 years, the Lake City Tigers girls basketball team won the Gold Division Title and were playing in the Hiawatha Valley League (HVL) title game against Goodhue.
Lake City and Goodhue met up earlier in the year with Lake City coming out on top (64-60). Lake City knew Goodhue would come out with a new plan and play hard against them. Goodhue scored first but the Tigers tied it up right away. With 10:50 to go in the first half the Tigers led 10-5.
