Girls fall in state tourney to New London-Spicer

The Lake City Tiger girls basketball team headed to Chanhassen March 30 to take on New London-Spicer (NLS) in Lake City’s first state tournament appearance since 1984. NLS came out on top 78-49.

Both teams struggled to get a basket to fall in the first few minutes of the game.

The Tigers scored first as Mya Shones hit a bucket in the paint, but NLS had an answer and would go up by one.
