Girls Golf 2nd in state Class AA
The Lake City girls’ golf team finished in second place during the State Class AA Golf Tournament held at the Ridges at Sand Creek Golf Course in Jordan on June 14 and 15.
Detroit Lakes, behind five-time individual state champion, Kate Smith, edged the Tigers in the two day event by nine strokes.
Detroit Lakes won with rounds of 312-321 (633), followed by Lake City 322-320 (642), Breck 339-336 (675), St. Cloud Cathedral 356-363 (719), Minnewaska 354-366 (720), International Falls 350-383 (733), Jordan 383-376 (759) and Visitation 387-377 (764).
