Girls golfers win convincingly at home and on soggy Rochester course
The defending State Class AA champion Lake City (LC) Girls Golf team got their season started on April 19 at Lake City Golf Club. The Tigers hosted the Lake City Invite and came away with an impressive score of 323 followed by Byron 395, Stewartville 421, and K-M INC.
LC was led by medalist Jordana Windhorst Knudsen’s even par round 72 followed by Emma Berge 78, Ella Matzke 83, and Mattie Mears 90. Other scores included Brooke Bee 93 and a pair of 96’s by Morgan Wurst and Kaitlin Schmidt.
