Girls place second at PEM

On Friday, April 5, the Lake City girls track and field team competed at the Plainview-Elgin-Millville (PEM) Invitational. Plainview-Elgin Millville won the meet with 165.5 points, Lake City was second with 115.5, followed by Pine Island (101.25), Zumbrota-Mazeppa (92), Dover-Eyota (91.75), Medford (61), Rochester Area Christian Educators (55), and Schaffer Academy (2).
In the sprint races Ashley Veronen won the 100 hurdles (18.00) and the 300 hurdles (51.83). Lilly Meincke was third in the 100 dash (13.62) and second in the 200 meter dash (28.47).
