Girls soccer loses two

The Lake City High School girls soccer team began their week on a positive note. They took on Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa (PIZM) Wildcats on Sept. 5. The Tigers were able to hold the Wildcats to a 1-0 lead at halftime.
An early PIZM goal in the second half did not deter the Tigers as freshman Ashley Veronen rushed the opposing goalie to put the ball in the net making the score 2-1.
