Girls soccer wraps successful season with banquet, awards

The Lake City High School girls soccer team gathered Thursday evening at the Lake City Sportsman’s Club to celebrate the ending of a strong season ending 6-10-0.

The girls were able to defeat six different rivals, only done two other times in their 20 year history.

The team scored 47 season goals and gave up 61.

The girls soccer team placed first in their invitational, beating both Caledonia and Mankato Loyola.

The Tigers ended their section play with a nail-biting 1-2 loss against Winona Cotter.
