Girls tennis defeats Winona Cotter 6-1
The Lake City girls Tiger tennis team faced two familiar foes over the last week. On Aug. 29 they suffered a loss to John Marshall and on Aug. 30 they defeated Winona Cotter.
Against John Marshall, Ava Wallerich went 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 singles and Katherine Kennedy won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
The other team point came from Molly Kennedy and Dorothy Holland at No. 3 doubles 6-4, 6-3.
Ashley Thieren lost 3-6, 4-6 at No. 2 singles and Sarah Ziebarth was outplayed 0-6, 0-6 at No. 3 singles.
