Girls tennis narrowly misses upset of Lourdes

The Lake City girls Tiger tennis team had a near miss in providing the Rochester Lourdes Eagles with an upset in the Section 1A championship game Oct. 8 when they closed in on a 4-3 loss to the long time section rival.
A shuffle in the Tigers line up proved damaging to the Eagles who had beaten the Tigers twice in regular season play 7-0, 7-0.
Molly Kennedy scored a point for the Tigers at No. 4 singles, defeating Hannah Roth of Lourdes 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (8) in a three set tiebreaker.
