Girls tennis team defeats Lourdes for the first time in a long time
On Tuesday, Sept. 10, the Lake City High School girls’ tennis team played Cannon Falls, falling 2-5.
Rylee Thieren lost No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-1. Thérèse Bauer lost 6-2 , 7-6 at No. 2 singles. Mary Kate Bauer won No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-1. Addie Thieren won No. 4 singles 6-3, 7-6. Emily Mehrkens and Erica Wallerich won 6-7, 7-5, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. Julia Huettl and Addison Ahrens lost No. 2 doubles 6-4 , 6-3. Ada Alkire and Lucy Beckman lost 6-1 , 6-2 at No. 3 doubles.
